Richard has worked as a science and policy adviser on climate change issues for major businesses, international organisations and governments. He was a Lead Author on two IPCC reports and was part of the management team for the World Business Council for Sustainable Development’s initiatives on greenhouse gas accounting for organisations and projects. He led the development of the Plan Vivo system, now one of the most successful programmes for mobilising payments for ecosystem services (PES) to small farmers and communities. Richard was a lead evaluator, from 2010 to 2014, of Norway's international climate and forests initiative (NICFI).

He was recognized as the Ernst & Young Scottish Entrepreneur of the Year and named to the Sunday Times Profit Track in 2003 after trebling profits at Klick Photopoint. His expertise in buying and finance and his leadership of an innovative move into web sales contributed to a tenfold increase in profits at the Paint Shed. He has developed visual identities and led sales and marketing teams. Jonathan moved into commercial roles after managing a derivatives book with JP Morgan New York. As a trader, he developed quantitative tools to identify arbitrage opportunities and published with Professor Peter Carr of Cornell University on novel hedging strategies for barrier options. He earned an MBA from Cornell on a St. Andrews Society of New York academic scholarship and holds a first-class BSc (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Aberdeen.

John is an accomplished operations director with 25 years' of experience in building resilience to climate impacts and managing carbon emission. He has directed large, complex climate change programmes in forest and agriculture sectors and has provided strategic and technical advice to clients in construction, energy and water sectors, development banks, international development agencies and government ministries, most recently in Indonesia and East Africa. John has an MBA from the University of Edinburgh and has a BA and MSc in Forestry, both from Oxford University. He is a Member of the Institute of Directors, and holder of the IoD's Certificate in Company Direction.

Barrie received his PhD in Theoretical Physics from the University of Edinburgh.
